Fantasy Football

I stumbled upon this site from FantasyPros which ranked one of their analysts (John Paulsen) as most accurate in 2010 and 2014. That was a long time ago, so I don't know how accurate they are any longer, but habits are habits.

The tools on the site are standard fare compared to the other sites that I use. The real reason why I still turn to it is because I like to check their rankings to confirm my lineups. If I have to choose between two players, I will often check 4for4 to see if they agree with my decision.

Cost

★★★★★

4for4 has multiple plans: Classic, Pro, and a DFS addon.

The Classic package is $29 for the season and basically gives you access to their rankings and articles. It's very bare-bones and useful if you just want to check rankings.

The Pro package is $59 for the season and gives you the Classic package plus their LeagueSync product which reads from your league platform (all major platforms are supported). They also have an optimal weekly lineup tool where you can import your league roster and have it suggest a lineup - fairly standard stuff now.

The DFS addon is $149 and is geared heavily towards the DFS crowd and includes a lineup generator, ownership projections, and picks for cash games and tournament picks.

From a cost perspective, they're not the most expensive, but they are certainly not the least expensive - especially if you play DFS.

Usability

★★★★★

The site is very clean, slick, and loads fast. The overall design is pretty basic, but I'd rather have a fast experience than an aesthetically pleasing one.

When you're signed in and can use the tools, it's pretty intuitive. They do a nice job of making things big and legible.

This is an easy site to navigate and find what you're looking for.

Tools

★★★★★

I think their rankings are fantastic, but to be honest, the suite of tools is pretty basic. They don't have anything unique like the Auto Pilot tool that Fantasy Pros does or the Free Agent Finder tool that Fantasy Football Nerd does. Those tools are really unique and cannot be found elsewhere that I'm aware of.

Some of the tools that a subscription will get you include custom scoring, league syncing, weather reports, and a trade evaluator.

4for4 has a lot of analysis articles and they do a nice job, but the analysis is often the same stuff that I just read elsewhere. For example, checking on the status for Patrick Mahomes gave me essentially the exact same thing as I read at Rotoworld for free.

They have a Streaming feature on the site that I was excited to see...at first. I assumed that it would be a tool to show me which guys I should consider streaming that week. Turns out that it's just a search option for their articles. Not exactly a particularly useful tool - especially when it doesn't produce anything of value. For example, screenshot below is what is returned when I selected QB streaming. All the articles were from the previous year - again, not particularly useful. Selecting my year and week produces no results which makes me wonder if they support this tool any longer. If not, it's probably best to simply remove it from the menu.

4for4

The bottom line is that you're not going to use 4for4 for their tools. You're using it for their rankings.

Overall Value

★★★★★

If you're using the DFS package, there's less value here, but their Pro package should be sufficient for most fantasy players.

4for4 isn't my go-to option, but I have found them to be valuable when I just want another source to provide confirmation.

Customer Service

★★★★★

Instead of an email address, they have a whole support section including a ticketing system.

One thing that is unique to these guys is the extensive nature of their knowledge base including video tutorials.

My only issue with it is that you have to sign in separately to the support section even though you're signed into the main site. I don't know if it's because it's on a subdomain and they don't know how to use cookies, but it is a bit disjointed to have to sign in again.

The search feature on the support page will try to suggest support topics as you type - a handy little feature!
